This document is intended to detail the on-boarding process of the DRUID platform. It’s particularly focused as a guide for Digital Project Managers from the Company side and the Dev. team from the Agency side, and it provides with some basic steps to follow. It also applies to managers who should monitor and coordinate the integration process schedule. Your staff should have a minimum technological background in order to understand and monitor the process properly. However, this document details the steps and duration that a development team must perform in order to make a successful integration.

Requisites

The staff member that will execute the integration should have experience in third party SDKs integrations and basic notions of programming languages. Some experience in the development and integration of systems like RESTful APIs will be helpful as well, especially those made under the OAuth 2 protocol, but it is not required.

Integration process duration

The duration of the integration process varies depending on several factors:

The technical strength of the agency
Experience in similar integrations
The complexity of the site or app

Generally, the integration process usually does not take more than 5 business days for (new) agencies since this document is delivered until the integration is completed. The average time spent working does not usually exceed 3-4 working days being possible to greatly reduce the working time if you have experience in similar integrations.
Normally a new agency with good development skills can reach a successful integration within 1 business day.

Each developer or technical person must contact us to devops@dru-id.com providing its contact data.

In case you are an agency and you are already integrated with DruID, please let us know by proving us the name and email address of your agency or agencies responsible.

For Company Digital Project Managers

Provide Agency access to the developers site
On this site, the agency that wants to perform a DRUID integration has all the documentation required. They´ll find everything they need to integrate an application with DRUID. The site has been designed to guide agencies throughout the integration process, with accurate information and examples ready to use.

Create Agency and Agency Users via Cockpit
1. Access to the DRUID cockpit catalogs and create an Agency
2. Create a User, assign to the previously created Agency, and provide the desired privileges to that user.
3. Provide the created credentials to the Agency.
Agencies can also contact with support@dru-id.com requesting cockpit credentials. Agencies should include in the request a valid email address, Company name and Agency Name. Within 1 business day, our support team will provide to the Agency with the needed credentials.
Send credentials to the Agency
As soon as the agency has access to the cockpit, they can configure new applications by themselves. Each agency will only see the applications you create. If you want to have full permissions’ control for each application and do not want your agency to manage these permissions, you can set these applications and only send the correspondent credentials to the agency.

For Agencies

Overview of the product features
The goal of this step is to understand the basic terms and concepts of the product in order to squeeze the best of the features. The overview page provides a good explanation of the basic concepts. If you work better with drawings, you can have a look at the component architecture.
Install the SDK’s and run the examples
in addition of the SDK’s we have created a set of tools to simplify integration process. Use our 1 minute guide for installing PHP SDK or have a look at the getting started guides for installing the SDK. After install, you can run any of the provided examples ready to use with your integration. During the installation, you can have a look at the SDK references available.
Configure your new App in the Cockpit
Access with your credentials to the Cockpit panel and configure your app You can use cockpit apps guide for the configuration. Once you’ve done, you will have the neccessary credentials file that will be used to integrate with your application.

Agencies can also contact with support@dru-id.com requesting cockpit credentials. Agencies should include in the request a valid email address, Company name and Agency Name. Within 1 business day, our support team will provide to the Agency with the needed credentials.
